FuRyu have announced that they’ll be releasing a localized rendition of the roguelike RPG “Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs: The Thrilling Steamy Maze” on PC via Steam.
Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs: The Thrilling Steamy Maze promises daring dungeon exploration and hot spring adventures that “push the limits”, just like the anime adaptation of the same series, which is a decent watch if you’re not afraid of boobs.
The game itself is based upon the manga by Miura Tadahiro and was previously released as an exclusive to the Japanese region specifically for Sony’s PlayStation 4 console but will soon become available with English, Japanese and Chinese language support on PC and better still the PC release comes with all of the additional DLC content at no extra charge.
Though an official release date wasn’t specified.
Sony are notorious for being anti-Japanese harbingers of censorship, with the Sony Interactive Entertainment HQ now located in California, Sony have arbitrarily demanded developers impose censorship and modifications to their games regardless if they’re to be sold worldwide or specifically in the region of Japan.
All to facilitate their globalist ESG favorable policies of course, despite the fact that Sony themselves permits grotesque first-party games featuring gore, violence and realistic depictions of sex scenes (The Last of Us Part 2). Sex and violence is only permitted if they are western developed and support “the message.
Sony’s censorship crusade resulted in the complete and utter collapse of the Senran Kagura franchise with their then in-development title 7EVEN being censored beyond recognition where it has remained in limbo ever since and most likely will never see the light of day as the franchise is now being whored out to mobile gacha games instead.
So imagine my surprise to witness that Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs: The Thrilling Steamy Maze is now making its way onto PC several years after it had launched as a PS4 exclusive, though whether or not the game itself will be modified (decensored) has yet to be determined.
But it’s highly likely that the artwork featured in the game won’t be surrounded by the holy spirit of rays of sunlight, which has been the most notorious issue with these sorts of games on Sony PlayStation consoles.
The pretext for Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs: The Thrilling Steamy Maze is relatively simple, Kogarashi, the main protagonist residing at the enigmatic Yuragi-sou hot spring inn, finds himself abducted to a whimsical miniature garden.
To rescue Kogarashi, Yuuna, the lingering spirit alongside the other inhabitants of Yuragi-sou, embark on dungeon expeditions.
I shouldn’t really have to explain how the core gameplay is, if you’ve played a dungeon crawler once you’ve basically played them all, if you’re completely uncultured the closest example would probably be Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.
The dungeons inside of Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs: The Thrilling Steamy Maze undergo dynamic structural changes with each entry, introducing new dangers.
Players take command of original characters like Yuuna, Sagiri, Yaya, among others, navigating through the dungeon, gathering items, and partaking in turn-based battles against mystical dolls to advance.
The characters, such as Yuuna, showcase altered abilities by donning different costumes, some of which “push the limits.” Nevertheless, succumbing to supernatural dolls results in the forfeiture of all items on the spot, with characters returning to Yuragi-sou.
Players undergo a cycle of preparation at Yuragi-sou, delving into dungeons, and returning to Yuragi-sou. Within Yuragi-sou, it’s possible to synthesize and strengthen weapons. As dungeons are conquered, the narrative unfolds, revealing an original story narrated by the original anime cast.
Additionally, players can acquire Spiritual Power Soap in the dungeon, introducing an element where characters can bathe in the responsive spiritual spring. By dispelling negative energy and building up a satisfaction gauge during baths, players can enjoy various character performances.
Additionally, depending on post-bath satisfaction levels, new abilities, synthesis materials, and more can be acquired.
The game is rife full of fan service, suggestive imagery and revealing outfits, given the source material on which it’s based on this doesn’t come as much of a surprise, it’s a game of harmless fun and entertainment and I am glad that it’s finally releasing onto a platform that’ll actually appreciate it unlike Sony and their globalist pledge of censorship.
Look forward to an official release date being made public in the near future.
