BeXide, the developer of Yohane the Parhelion: NUMAZU in the MIRAGE for PlayStation 5, has announced a collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Doko Demo Issyo series.
The Doko Demo Issyo series, featuring Toro Inoue as Japan’s unofficial PlayStation mascot, was developed by BeXide and is published and owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It originated with its first entry released for the original PlayStation in 1999.
The “Toro Hat” can be equipped by Yohane, impacting her appearance in both battle and story sequences. Additionally, it enhances her performance by including the starter card “Ocarina Tones” and starter charm “Shishinoshin Badge.”
So not only does this limited time inclusion harper back to Sony’s old and forgotten IPs but it also may decrease the difficulty of the card battles which isn’t going to be well received by many.
A demo is currently accessible on all platforms that depicts the entire first chapter of the game.
Yohane the Parhelion: NUMAZU in the MIRAGE is a deck-building roguelike that utilizes magical cards. The game serves as an official spin-off to Love Live! Sunshine. The game is scheduled for a global release on February 22 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
