On Wednesday, Twitch introduced a revamped policy in regards to sexual content on its platform, a policy change that permitted “artistic depictions” of nudity, such as drawings or animations, showcasing exposed breasts within an artistic context.
The intention was to afford artists greater flexibility in producing sexual content on the platform, or rather it was more or less a scapegoat to permit pornographic content on its service considering how Twitch has fallen from what once was a gaming website to Chaturbate Lite as a slurry of “gamer girls” came in and began flaunting their tits and body in exchange for crusty donations.
Twitch initially functioned solely as a gaming-oriented streaming platform until it underwent a significant transformation with the influx of women showcasing their bodies in exchange for donations.
This shift challenged traditional norms, and Twitch, enticed by the heightened revenue, introduced the “Just Chatting” category to specifically accommodate enthusiasts of these so called “gamer girls”.
While I maintain the belief that Twitch should remain focused on gaming content, it is evident that the times have changed. The paradox arises as some women, who criticize the objectification of women by men, engage in self-objectification, leading to instances of accidental nudity on streams and subsequent “bans” that last mere goddamn days.
Twitch opened the floodgates for these empowering streamers, who’ve at this point had the better part of several years with “hot tub” streams, nude bodypainting and more by allowing stipulations that allow for nudity to be shown on Twitch.
This change stemmed on from “gamer girls” framing their camera towards their breasts in a desperate attempt of implied nudity, but considering how no nipples were being shown on camera there wasn’t much of an issue as far as Twitch moderators were concerned.
Why would Twitch subject itself to losing their juicy revenue stream? Giant streamers such as Amoranth who has been “banned” from the platform over seven times in total receives millions of dollars per month alone in donations, the problem doesn’t just begin and end with the slurry of whores and prostitutes that promote themselves on Twitch, it ends with the slurry of simps and whales that perpetuity fund this bullshit.
The second Twitch updated their terms of services to allow for “artistic” depictions of nudity, rest assured that a multitude of fuckers rushed to start up their livestreams and begin flaunting “artistic” depictions of tits and cock.
Streamers such as Marina, the transgender VTuber notorious for launching online hate campaigns against individuals such as Pikamee got banned.
I’ll let you be the judge as to why they were banned, as Marina hilariously took the piss from the whole situation, but after getting banned came the shallow ChatGPT written apology.
So long as Marina is absolutely “sorry” for their actions, open brazenly showcasing full-bodied nudity on camera while narcissistically defending its own actions by referring to the Twitch’s guidelines.
The hypocrisy from those who suggest we should “just go watch porn”, while accusing us of objectifying women for desiring attractive female characters in video games and anime, is truly remarkable.
Countless other artists were hit with a Twitch ban for depictions of nudity being shown on their streams, the main culprits were hentai and furry artists who were in the process of drawing 18+ artwork, with “KyojuFolf” in particular in the midst of drawing homoerotic smut before Twitch took action against them.
This is what happens when you fail to gatekeep a medium, the “gamer girls” invade the gaming platform and flaunt their bodies, Twitch would rather create new rules and regulations catering to these fucking vermin than to enforce an actual standard against softcore pornographic content, allowing gay furry artists to draw dicks on stream.
A single day ban for drawing cocks on livestream.
In a blog post, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy clarified the policy decision, noting that the update aimed to “empower artists” to incorporate the “human form in their art” on the platform. However, certain streamers exploited this flexibility to create sexually explicit content, violating the new guidelines.
Twitch also faced viewer complaints regarding content that, while technically allowed, still caused discomfort. Consequently, Clancy acknowledged that the company had “gone too far” with the changes.
To me this isn’t a matter of going “too far” with these changes so much as it is the sheer hypocrisy of their guidelines which favors their valiant whore-ish streamers other everybody else, Twitch went “too far” when they deviated away from games to cater towards these pool party and “just chatting” streamers.
Twitch highlighted the challenge of distinguishing between digital art and realistic nude images or photography, especially with the advancements in AI-generated media. Moving forward, the platform will prohibit any depictions of real or fictional nudity regardless of gender.
So I suppose the “gamer girl” crowd are going to have to put their bras back on if they want to flaunt their tits for donations because nudity is now “prohibited” on Twitch regardless of its context or medium, however sexual content can still be streamed without issue such as Mature-rated video games that do not feature sexually explicit / pornographic content as the main attraction.
But of course, Twitch is notorious for imposing arbitrary rules and exceptions to specifically exclude “problematic” mature-rated games such as Senran Kagura or anything else Japanese that isn’t necessarily pornographic.
Rest assured that valiant streamers won’t have to awkwardly shut down their stream when a penis makes its way on stream while playing Baldur’s Gate 3.
While streamers who continue to play modded instances of Skyrim will once again be held accountable for instances of nudity and or nip slips due to clipped clothing, because Twitch doesn’t even follow their own rules.
There are a multitude of games that Twitch explicitly state are problematic and cannot be streamed under any circumstances, majority of which are pornographic by nature but a large amount of the listed games aren’t actually pornographic. Regardless, Twitch will always take issue with games such as Senran Kagura.
When it comes to “sexually explicit” material being shown during gameplay, which almost always revolves around provocative and scantily clad outfits on female characters while full on progressive western developed video games will be able to showcase nudity and sexual themes, such as full on mocap sex scenes inside of The Last of Us 2, those will likely be permitted while “sexist” Japanese filth will most certainly remain banned despite the rule changes.
