CE-Asia has revealed that the post-apocalyptic science-fiction action RPG known as “AI LIMIT,” is set to release on Sony PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in late 2024.
Developed by Sense Games, an indie outfit based in China, the game is most notable as being a “Hero Project” title led by PlayStation’s China branch facilitated by Sony Interactive Entertainment to help push Chinese game developers into entering domestic and global markets with their games.
So essentially what that means is that AI Limit is yet another Sony “exclusive” title that will be launching on PC.
Notably, the game will not be available on PlayStation 4, despite having previously been announced for the PS4 back in 2019.
This game presents itself as a Soul-like action RPG unfolding in a post-apocalyptic setting. Within the last human bastion, Heaven’s Will, where intense conflicts erupted due to scarce resources and catastrophic disasters, players assume the role of the artificial life form named “Arrisa.”
This announcement was emphasized in a gameplay trailer, which includes English audio, providing viewers with a glimpse of the combat systems, enemies, and environments.
Their mission involves locating and restoring scattered Crystal Trees across the city, leading to encounters with diverse human survivors and Mechs navigating the apocalypse, gradually uncovering concealed truths.
The deteriorating city boasts a variety of landscapes, including dank underground sewers, intricate slums, and an airborne city suspended above a lake. Treacherous adversaries, ranging from creatures transformed into warriors to ruthless killers and colossal beings, lurk in these environments.
Players have the flexibility to switch between an array of weapons and combat techniques, employing distinctive features like the “Sync Rate System” to partake in dynamic and exhilarating action battles of varying styles.
Honestly, after being memory holed for almost five years I’m glad to see that AI LIMIT is actually on the verge of release, unlike Stellar Blade.
