Just in case you were hoping Sony might change its globalist, anti-Japanese stance on fanservice or games catering to a heterosexual audience after appointing a Japanese man as co-CEO, think again.
Bliss Brain announced that the release date for the Sony PlayStation 4/5 version of “Princess Maker 2 Regeneration” has been postponed to August 8. This delay is due to modifications required to meet “ethical standards” for these platforms.
Naturally, the Nintendo Switch and Steam versions of Princess Maker 2 Regeneration remain unchanged and will be released as scheduled on July 11th.
“Princess Maker 2 Regeneration” is a remake of the PC-98 simulation game “Princess Maker 2,” where players assume the role of a father raising his daughter. Originally released back in 1993, the game has been ported to numerous platforms over the years.
As one of the most beloved titles in the series, it offers players the experience of nurturing a daughter gifted from the stars. From ages 10 to 18, she dreams of becoming a princess and embarks on various adventures as she matures into adulthood.
The player’s decisions profoundly impact her future, resulting in a wide array of possible outcomes.
Princess Maker 2 Regeneration is not the first remake, it’s actually based on the 2004 release of Princess Maker 2 Refine. The key graphics have been redrawn by Takami Akai, who directed the series and handled character design at Gainax.
The graphics have been revamped to replicate the iconic style of the PC-98 version and are displayed in high resolution to match contemporary gaming platforms. However, it’s worth noting that the original 2004 remake did omit content from the original game.
Specifically, the original version included an ending where your daughter becomes a prostitute.
The game, like many Japanese PC-98 titles included nudity in the form of nipples, there was also a cheat item in-game called the “undress” that pretty much does exactly what it says. Equipping the undress item will make your daughter appear naked, regardless of her age.
Certainly, the updated remakes are expected to tone down the “raunchiness” of the original. However, despite this adjustment, Sony’s ongoing censorship policies against Asian developers remain a point of contention.
Since 2017-2018, Sony has been criticized for imposing censorship on Japanese games that include elements of fanservice or sex appeal. This stands in stark contrast to their leniency towards western-developed first-party games like The Last of Us Part 2, which features full nudity, graphic violence, and explicit motion-captured sex scenes.
This inconsistency has raised concerns about Sony’s selective enforcement of censorship, particularly when it comes to Asian games showcasing attractive female characters.
As an example from just a month ago, Sony intervened in the English release of the Tsukihime remake visual novel, insisting on censorship of its artbook. This decision was made despite the fact that the visual novel is already a censored remake of the original, which included graphic sex scenes. It’s noteworthy that the game was published by Aniplex, a subsidiary of Sony.
And now, despite the recent change in leadership which saw Jim Ryan finally make his exit from Sony Interactive Entertainment, he has been replaced by Herman Hulst and Hideaki Nishino who will serve as co-CEOs, one of whom being an American man who co-founded Guerilla Games, who certainly wont use his power and authority to greenlight projects from his buddies at Sony’s first-party studio, and the other being a Japanese man who will oversee relations with third party publishers and developers for the PlayStation brand.
And already, Hideaki Nishino is catering to his globalistic overlords as Sony’s censorship policy of Japanese games certainly isn’t going away anytime soon. As the PlayStation release for Princess Maker 2 Regeneration is the only one to be held back due to these ethical standards.
You might wonder about the ethical standards Sony finds objectionable. Well, among the changes made, Sony has deemed the removal of the ‘Buxomize Pill’ necessary. This magical pill, which increases bust size, will be eliminated from the game on Sony PlayStation.
Another significant alteration involves the elimination of several “problematic” endings, including the option for your daughter to marry your butler, as well as marrying her own father.
The exclusion of the father-daughter marriage ending likely stems from Sony’s global policies, which prohibit the depiction of incestuous relationships, a common trope in Japanese media.
However the removal of the butler marriage ending is quite bizarre, however given the depiction of your butler in Princess Marker 2, by the name of “Cube” is actually very short in stature.
You could say that he’s “child-like” and we all know how censorship puritans feel about fictional characters that are “too short” or “appear” to be “child-like.”
And naturally, the reason behind removing the Buxomize Pill on PlayStation is simply because it would slightly increase the size of your daughter’s boobs. Because Sony Interactive Entertainment is based in California and BlackRock and their loyal Marxists consider large breasts to be reprehensible.
Sony remains unchanged under its new leadership. It’s still the same failing, progressive, globalized corporation it has been for the past six years. Their focus continues to be on maximizing their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) capital funding by following BlackRock’s agenda.
This involves rigorous scrutiny of anything deemed “problematic” or simply not tailored for gay audiences.
If you’re considering purchasing the remake of Princess Maker 2, it’s best to avoid the PlayStation releases and instead opt for either the Nintendo Switch or PC versions, which will remain unaltered and will be available on July 11th.
However, if you prefer the original art style showcased at the bottom of the image above, I encourage you to consider purchasing Princess Maker 2 Refine instead.
