Wired Productions has unveiled the newest trailer for “Gori: Cuddly Carnage,” a fresh action indie game developed by “Angry Demon Studio”, the game is set to release on August 29th on all console platforms and PC.
In a world devoid of humanity, the game centers around the stylish bipedal cat by the name of Gori. Tasked with halting the galactic conquest of “Cool-Toyz Inc” who created a deranged legion of mutated unicorns hungering for blood.
Gori allies with a sentient hoverboard, F.R.A.N.K, and the moody AI companion, CH1-P. Together, they confront the challenge of pursuing Professor Y, the human who cherished Gori.
The gameplay combines rapid and stylish hoverboard grinding, with elements like wall riding, and intense action involving blood, gore, and the dismemberment of unicorns using a variety of weapons.
Leo Zullo, the managing director of Wired Productions, remarked that the partnership between them and Angry Demon Studios has been a “ride” for nearly three years. Despite the challenges, the determination of the small teams has finally brought their vision to fruition.
Zullo further asserts that “Gori: Cuddly Carnage” transcends the image of a cutesy cat tearing through hordes of bloodthirsty unicorns. He describes it as a nostalgic nod to the games he enjoyed in the late ’90s and 2000s. Zullo insists that the game is a blend of pure adrenaline, fun, and outrageousness, serving as a quintessential example of indie gaming. This sentiment resonates with my personal experience as well.
Smaller studios lack the financial resources and political motivations to create large-scale games tailored for “globalized” audiences. With many AAA developers, regardless of region, focusing on producing lackluster content intertwined with ESG political agendas, indie games are experiencing a significant resurgence.
These games are crafted by passionate individuals within an industry that now lacks innovation and is saturated with activism.
“Gori” is a straightforward game designed to captivate players with its small-scale enjoyment. With a blend of hoverboard riding, rail grinding, and intense, gore-filled action, players can immerse themselves in stylishly slaying hordes of unicorns when the game launches on August 29th.
