Once again, an oppressive government has taken a vow to protect drawings of fictious characters because there is simply zero difference between fiction and reality.
Pedophilia is a serious issue, quite possibly one of the most heinous if not the most detestable offenses a human being can commit, and yet it would seem that western governments seemingly want to legalize the practice while also rendering its populous docile and obedient by introducing radical laws prohibiting things such as “hate speech” and or “CSAM” (Child Sexual Abuse Material).
The terminologies as to what defines either of these two categories is always loose, whatever your government deems as being prohibited has continually increased beyond a safe boundary quite a long time ago, to the point where Ireland criminalizes the “possession” of so called “hate speech”, as to what the Irish government dubs “hate speech” is constantly evolving.
Another thing that’s constantly evolving is what these governments deem to be child exploitive material, for the past decade or so now, political officials have constantly bastardized Japanese media entertainment such as manga, light novels and especially anime adaptations as being precarious pedophilic nonsense that’s indoctrinating pedophilia onto their own nation or something there other.
For instance, my totalitarian shithole otherwise known as Australia has made several attempts at banning Japanese media that it deems to be “pedophilic” or containing sexually explicit material of child-like characters, by outright banning several manga / light novel series’ such as No Game No Life, Eromanga Sensei and Sword Art Online.
Australia outright bans the importation of these such franchises as they are now deemed to contain sexually explicit content of minors, despite of course being works of fiction, the ban has since extended greatly now affecting the classification and distribution of anime adaptions such as How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord Omega.
Because of course, your local politicians and government officials knows what’s best for you, they’re trying to protect real life children by prohibiting the distribution and consumption of “problematic” Japanese anime and manga, despite of course constantly being discovered to harbor actual child predators amongst themselves, don’t ask any questions regarding Epstein’s book.
It has been almost two years since an anonymous individual trolled an Italian senate meeting held via ZOOM by playing pornographic content featuring Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII and Xiangling from Genshin Impact during the conference call, sparking a plethora of memes and good times all around for a few weeks at least.
But now it would seem that almost two years later, the Italians are striking back, and what better way to strike back than to classify fictional artwork and drawings of petite child-like characters, otherwise known as “lolis” as child exploitive material therefore classifying them as pedophilia making it illegal.
Naturrally, this is retarded given how fictional drawings cannot simply posses precise ages meaning the governmental threshold as to which extent a drawing is considered “pedophilic” can simply change at the drop of a hat.
Especially if you’re Jason Schreier in which case literally any fictional depiction of a woman with large breasts is considered to be pedophilia.
Naturally, lolicon material is frowned upon by majority of individuals, especially if they’re leftist leaning, for whatever reason if an anime series features child-like characters they consider that to be immensely problematic usually because they proclaim that they’re being sexualized and yet only they themselves make that assumption.
The Supreme Court of Italy, in its ruling numbered 47187 on November 24, 2023, has determined that content portraying sexual relations between adults and “minors” including but not limited to Japanese manga, artwork or pornographic doujinshi is now categorized as child pornography.
Again, the boundaries as to what’s defined as “pedophilic” when it comes to fictious artwork is ever evolving, rest assured that drawings depicting smaller women with small breasts will more than likely fall into this category.
The Criminal Court of Cassation examined the situation of an individual who was convicted in 2021 through an expedited legal process by the Tribunal of Trieste. The conviction, later affirmed by the Court of Appeals, was in possession of child pornography material. This material encompassed six photographs depicting nude minors, along with two images revealing intimate parts and explicit poses of minors.
Furthermore, on a USB drive confiscated from the individual’s residence discovered images and manga comics illustrating incestuous relationships between adults and minors, along with additional illustrations from an “erotic story”, most likely a doujin.
The defense has opted to file an appeal with the Cassation because, as per the attorneys’ argument, the Court of Appeals made a mistake in classifying the illustrations in the man’s possession as child pornography material, contending that they did not depict real situations.
In reply to the defense, the Cassation reiterated that “the citations from the lower court rulings align with the statements of this Supreme Court, which have attributed criminal significance not just to the actual depiction of a minor in a pornographic context but also to drawings, paintings, and anything that can suggest to the viewer that the subject of the pornographic representation is a minor.” This interpretation permits the affirmation of the conviction for both comics and illustrations in the erotic story depicting minors involved in incestuous acts or other sexual activities, rendering them immune from censure.
Therefore the Italian government now perceives fictional content containing “minors” to be much akin to the real thing, pornographic depictions involving lolicon characters are entirely interchangeable to real life child pornography, which in Italy if convicted the penalties for possessing child pornography material include a maximum imprisonment sentence of three years and a fine no less than €1,549.
This penalty may be increased by up to two-thirds if the quantity of the material held is deemed to be “substantial”. Additionally, beyond cases of material possession, intentionally accessing pornographic material featuring individuals under 18 through the internet or other communication means, without justified reason, can result in imprisonment for up to two years and a fine no less than €1,000.
Given that characters depicted inside of anime, manga and hentai are entirely imaginary, there is no assurance that their age is explicitly stated. As per the court’s interpretation, the determination of age should be “based on the visual representation”. Which just affirms that any short petite character with small breasts will almost certainly be categorized as being child-like by the Italian system.
In the case under consideration, the judges noted that the drawings in the possession of the accused portrayed:
“Young girls, scarcely older than children, revealing intimate parts: the physique, facial features, and subtly suggested sexual characteristics (development of breasts and pubic hair) serve as indicative elements that these are individuals significantly below the age of 18.”
This is likely to establish a precedent for other countries to follow, a pattern that history has demonstrated often unfolds in the most authoritarian manner which will send shockwaves towards Japan, the originator of such material, as they aim to align themselves more closely with US and Western ethics and values.
Valve for instance has a stick up their ass when it comes to “child-like” depictions of female characters in an ordeal people have come to dub as the “Waifu Holocaust” while simultaneously Steam is home to a plethora of games depicting child-like characters of whom are male, because apparently this fictious pedophilic nonsense only applies to one gender instead of the other.
I anticipate increased censorship and the complete prohibition of anything even remotely “youthful” in the years ahead, as these countries continually ignore real issues such as debt, inflation and rampant crime stemming from immigration issues, but they’d rather focus on using their authoritarian claw to crack down on artwork and drawings instead.
