During the conclusion of today’s “hololive SUPER EXPO 2024,” the official announcement trailer for “Holo X Break” was unveiled, confirming its release date on Steam for March 29th.
“Holo X Break” was initially introduced at the start of March as Kay Yu’s next project following the renowned “HoloCure – Save The Fans!” autoshooter. Holo X Break is another fan-made game which will launch under the new “holo Indie” program.
Holo X Break offers a side-scrolling beat-em-up experience reminiscent of River City Girls, a title previously worked on by Kay Yu. Featuring all 5th and 6th generation hololive members, the game boasts full voice acting for an immersive experience.
For additional fanservice, you’ll have the ability to unlock over 140 in-game chat expressions and more than 20 illustrations by various artists.
Holo X Break features dazzling pixel artwork as the game unfolds with the tale of hololive’s CEO mysteriously vanishing at the hands of the Secret Society HoloX, determined to conquer the world with their 6th generation cast.
Players assume control of NePoLaBo, the 5th generation members of hololive JP, battling through HoloX’s minions to foil their nefarious plans.
Each 5th generation member possesses unique abilities and special moves, offering diverse combat options. Equipping various items, players can customize their fighting style and engage in thrilling boss battles against iconic Secret Society HoloX members.
Holo X Break will support up to 4 players for local and online play, ensuring an engaging experience for not just yourself but also with friends, and for whatever reason it has been specifically noted that “X” in the title is completely silent.
