While the Chinese are out artificially crippling foreign competition in their region via imposed censorship as previously mentioned with Blue Archive, the Koreans are instead retroactively modifying their game, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE to be more revealing during its latest update.
Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is a free-to-play game centered around leading a team of busty “goddesses” in combat against various enemies. Similar to many other free-to-play titles, it incorporates a gacha mechanism for acquiring new characters.
The primary appeal of NIKKE lies in its depiction of women adorned in revealing outfits, with the bouncing and jiggling of large assets. Unsurprisingly, the game has gained significant popularity and proven highly lucrative for SHIFT UP, the developers of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.
And one of their latest additions to generate revenue, of which the game generates over $32 Million dollars per month, happens to be a newly introduced costume variation of the character “Dorothy” dubbed her “Nostalgia” costume.
You can already tell just by the looks alone that Dorothy’s Nostalgia costume is rather convexing and revealing, there’s a reason why the game is so damn popular.
However as the patch went live featuring this new costume for Dorothy, players noticed that the miniature image shown in the costume gacha preview (top left of the screen) appeared more revealing than the actual costume provided to players, it was thought that she was censored.
However, following maintenance that took place just a day ago, it appears that the developers have replaced the original, more “covered” version of the costume with one that’s even more revealing, with this new iteration aligning with the preview.
It’s a subtle change but one that will be noticed and appreciated by only the most enthusiastic commanders, with Dorothy’s Nostalgia costume revealing more skin around her breasts.
Players are now getting exactly what was shown to them with her costume’s preview, with a slightly modified rendition being replaced entirely, which is why paying customers are somewhat appreciative of Shift Up to continually splurge on their game which is available on mobile devices and the PC as well.
You simply can’t not appreciate more tits. I for one do not appreciate how Tencent has gotten their grubby mitts all over Shift Up, having acquired a two million share stake in the company with the Chinese conglomerate now holding a 24% stake in the company.
