Le Sex Pest.
This week, French police have apprehended five ex-employees of Ubisoft as a result of allegations of sexual harassment and assault made by former employees that reportedly occurred at the game studio and its corporate events over two years ago.
On Wednesday, the news of the arrests was initially reported by French newspaper Libération. According to their report, three of the ex-employees of Ubisoft were questioned and taken into custody on Tuesday, while the remaining two were apprehended on Wednesday.
Former chief creative officer Serge Hascoet, who was in charge of overseeing all of the company’s games as the head of its influential editorial team, has been detained. Hascoet resigned in July 2020 following a substantial number of accusations made against him.
Also taken into custody was Hascoet’s right-hand man, Tommy François, the former vice-president of editorial and creative services who had left the company in August of 2020 after further allegations of sexual misconduct.
The accusations against François go back to 2015, where it is alleged that the executive made a forceful attempt to kiss an employee during a company event. The victim reacted by screaming and leaving the scene.
According to the report, Ubisoft representatives then supposedly informed her that she had misunderstood the situation and dismissed the incident as a common occurrence of humorous behavior.
And with colored hair like this, would you honestly be surprised to find out that he was a sex pest?
The arrests were made in response to complaints filed by the French trade union Solidaires Informatique and two individual victims during the summer of 2021.
According to reports, the judicial police conducted an investigation for a year and gathered testimonies from approximately 50 present and former Ubisoft employees in response to the complaints.
In October 2021, a survey conducted anonymously among nearly 14,000 Ubisoft employees revealed that 20 percent of the respondents did not feel completely respected or safe in their work environment. Additionally, 25 percent stated that they had witnessed or personally experienced workplace misconduct within the past two years.
Reportedly, HR allegedly instructed the alleged victims to either tolerate the behavior as a normal aspect of the work environment or resign from the company.
For a company as garbage as Ubisoft that seemingly cannot survive without re-releasing and banking on the same two franchises, those being Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed it’s absolutely hysterical to discover that the entire corporation is flooded with sexual aggressors.
I look forward to watching this French giant burn themselves to death, as Ubisoft continually squeezes out sequels of Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed that are progressively received lower and lower, as they venture out into Crypto NFT projects, banking on the Cronos blockchain with “Champions Tactics” that’s sure to come back to bite them in the ass financially.
Ubisoft has been raping consumers for numerous years with their horrible game titles, so it comes as no surprise that Ubisoft executives have been trying to rape their own employees for many years, Ubisoft has now officially become the French branch of Activision and I cannot wait for their crimes to come out into the limelight.
