I am genuinely flabbergasted this must be a high-trust society at work.
Western game developers are notorious for hopping on any and all political bandwagons, be that Black Lives Matter, abortion rights or whatever current issue or dilemma is currently taking place on Twitter.
They do this to maximize their “brownie points” in the vain that their preaches of social issues that mostly have nothing to do with video games or game development whatsoever will bring good fortune and profits to themselves, especially in the form of Bungie virtue signaling to every single race and or ethnicity more often than not it just makes them look like cunts.
The preaches and cries of western game developers seemingly amount to nothing, they’re not actually supporting a cause or contributing to society or marginalized groups, unless of course you count the prolific domestic terrorist organization known as Black Lives Matter which had been ousted as a scam numerous times.
The damages are immeasurable, over two hundred people died with at least 52 people still unaccounted for and have likely perished, and while western game developers are more focused on maintaining their ESG scoring by advocating for X rights on a monthly basis, Japanese developers are actually providing financial aid following the crisis.
YuzuSoft are one of the most prolific Japanese eroge developers, and are primarily known for their adult visual novels such as Sanoba Witch, Senren * Banka, DRACU-RIOT!, RIDDLE JOKER and Noble ☆ Works have announced that their parent company, Junos Inc. have donated the sum of 1 million Japanese Yen, which is roughly ~6876 USD to the Japanese Red Cross Society for those affected by the horrific earthquakes.
While their support may be modest, it demonstrates the potential for gaming corporations to contribute to meaningful causes beyond the typical, often superficial, virtue signaling prevalent in Western countries, they’re a company that makes pornographic eroge games and yet they’ve done more for their own country than the likes of Electronic Arts, Rockstar Games, Ubisoft and Sony have ever accomplished.
It’s more than heart warming, Japanese visual novels are a genre that doesn’t typically generate immense profits or wealth, but to think that they’re more than willing to part with 1 million JPY for relief aid to the Red Cross is just amazing, and it just goes to show that YuzuSoft are a company worthy of your financial support when it comes to purchasing their games.
