Qureate has released a new patch for its gentleman-themed dating simulator, Bunny Garden, adding free items to celebrate the number of players who have enjoyed the game. With this update, players will gain access to new photo pose options and additional gifts for the three heroines.
Bunny Garden has been a significant success for Qureate, marking their first major hit. The game’s launch on Nintendo Switch was so successful that the developers decided to advance its PC release.
It cemented itself amongst the popular titles list on the Nintendo eShop in Japan and gained popularity among Japanese streamers and VTuber personalities. However, due to the games content, many of their streams were frequently removed by YouTube for violating content guidelines because YouTube only like raunchy material so long as it fits a homosexual standard.
To further highlight the tremendous success of Bunny Garden, Qureate has decided to invest in having a “Nendoroid” figure produced featuring of one of the game’s heroines, specifically Rin. GoodSmile unveiled the Rin figure at Smile Fest 2024.
Bunny Garden is not your standard dating simulator, as it’s set in a hostess bar catered towards gentlemen, reminiscent of Dream Club. The objective is to pursue romantic connections with the charming hostesses by ordering preferred drinks and snacks to boost affinity. Players work throughout the weekdays to earn the necessary finances to woo the girls on the weekends.
Interactions include various minigames such as Twister, Hand Sumo, or simply engaging in one-on-one conversations.
The game is obviously filled with fanservice, as the maidens frequently wear new and interesting styles of panties for players to catch glimpses of. Additionally, players can purchase gifts for the heroines to boost their affinity, enabling them to conduct photoshoots with the characters in a variety of different poses.
The latest free update, version 1.04, introduces two new poses for photoshoots, including the “Chekei Pose,” which offers five different variations for all three girls, and the “Present Pants” pose.
Speaking of pants, the update also adds five new gift options in the form of panties that you can give to the girls and see them wear. This addition enhances the allure of Bunny Garden, demonstrating Qureate’s keen understanding of their audience which is a crucial subject that many large-scale globalized Japanese developers have forgotten.
You can opt to purchase Bunny Garden via Steam or the Nintendo eShop.
