Why the fuck is there a Call of Duty streamer in my basketball game?
The streaming personality known as Dr Disrespect has faced significant backlash following accusations regarding his abrupt termination from Twitch in 2020. Allegations surfaced, later confirmed by Dr Disrespect himself, that he had sent sexual messages to a minor via Twitch’s Whisper functionality back in 2017.
Dr Disrespect later admitted to contacting a minor and engaging in an inappropriate conversation, though he emphasized that he never made any advances toward the individual. Even before his declaration, social media erupted with debates about whether he was a pedophile.
This situation contrasts with other high-profile cases. For example, there has been less of a public outcry revolving around Jeffery Epstein’s actual child trafficking ring and the demands to uncover the contents of Jeffery Epstein’s infamous list.
More rather Jeffery Epstein is now leveraged by progressive Westerns to propagate and demonize Japanese animation and its “problematic” depictions of “underaged” characters. Because such people can’t differentiate between fiction and reality, therefore underaged drawings on a sheet of paper are equivalent to a genuine human trafficking.
The allegations against Dr Disrespect were initially made by a former Twitch employee, who coincidentally used the opportunity to promote his ticket sales. In response, Midnight Society, the scam NFT development studio behind Dr Disrespect’s video game “Deadrop,” announced that they had severed all ties with him.
Consequently, his reputation has suffered significant damage.
One cannot help but wonder why this scandal remained hidden for so long. Dr Disrespect was banned by Twitch in 2020, the inappropriate contact allegedly occurred in 2017, and it is now 2024. This timeline suggests that Twitch was either aware of the situation and chose to keep it hidden, or their staff were too preoccupied jerking off to the abundance of women on the platform who are pretending to care about video games so they can flaunt their bodies in exchange for donations.
It took another four years for this information to come to light. Additionally, during a period when Dr Disrespect’s infidelity to his wife was public knowledge, rumors surfaced that he had contacted transgender prostitutes, despite being labeled as transphobic. Whether these claims are genuine or a result of editing trickery, I can’t help but be disgusted and laugh at the thought of Dr Disrespect seeking comfort in sexting trans people.
Dr Disrespect announced that his Twitch ban was due to inappropriate conversations with a minor, but the fallout from the ordeal is far from over. His name and likeness will be removed from 2K’s NBA 2K24 video game according to Dexerto, the upcoming update that remove Dr Disrespect’s likeness is believed to be the most ambitious update ever released in the game series’ history.
The developers, Visual Concepts Entertainment, have faced criticism similar to Electronic Arts for annually releasing nearly identical sports titles primarily aimed at retarded sports fanatics who spend significant amounts of money on in-game microtransactions to assemble fantasy teams for online play.
Dr Disrespect, supposedly a sports fan, once had connections to the San Francisco 49ers. However, following the entire ordeal, the team has reportedly severed ties with their social media mascot.
Why a streaming personality like Dr Disrespect known for playing games such as Call of Duty was even featured in an NBA game is beyond me. Then again, if Logan Paul can transition from laughing at dead bodies in Japan’s infamous “suicide forest” to scamming his young audience with cryptocurrency, to becoming a “professional wrestler” for the WWE and still retain a fanbase, anything is possible, I suppose.
It doesn’t matter who you are, as long as you’re committed and confident, even the biggest retard can amass a following. Dr Disrespect’s name will be removed from the game, and his unique animations will be replaced with generic ones.
Dr Disrespect was featured in NBA 2K24’s MyCareer, with his custom in-game jump shot and dunk style available as equippable animations, he was also present in a previous installment as an NPC.
The streamer is set to have his inclusion in NBA 2K24 pulled following the game’s 9th Season. As for his first appearance in NBA 2K23, rest assured that nothing will be done about it.
NBA 2K23, released in 2022, is already considered a dead game by 2K’s own standards, as is often the case with annual sports titles that offer zero innovation in gameplay or graphics compared to previous installments.
This situation highlights the downsides of modern “live service” games with seasonal updates. Scandals outside of the game involving specific players or individuals can quickly result in their appearance or likeness being removed.
A similar incident happened with Nickmercs, a fellow content creator who previously sided with Dr Disrespect but later condemned his actions. Nickmercs had his appearance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 removed for opposing the most protected class of modern society, the LGBT community and their efforts to indoctrinate children.
Activision and Call of Duty later went on to double down their representation for the world’s most marginalized group by giving away pride themed weapon camouflages to its prepubescent player base for this years Pride month.
Dr Disrespect announced he intends to return to streaming after taking an “extended vacation” with his family in the aftermath of this scandal. Given that he cleared the air regarding the allegations, much like how he admitted to infidelity in 2017, his removal is barely a loss to a game that isn’t even worth pirating but is scandalous nonetheless.
