Intel are really trying to win favor with myself by purging itself of its own cancer, but unfortunately if Intel wanted to win favor with me they should have never hired these jackasses to begin with anyway.
Ryan Shrout joined the Intel corporation in 2018 in what was at the time an unbelievable and unprecedented move, but then if you look beyond that you can understand why exactly Intel decided to put him on their payroll.
Ryan Shrout was the head of PC Perspective, a smaller tech news and hardware review website, Ryan Shrout’s job was quite simple. There’s no honesty among thieves after all so all of these publication outfits engage in PR copy writing and are obviously given “kickbacks” for favorable product reviews.
And when you discover that PC Perspective had been allocated a large amount of Intel’s then Optane drives for review purposes, especially when compared against other websites that had several times more viewership, it all starts to become just a little bit clearer.
Shills in the tech press are nothing new, they’re just about everywhere now. And then suddenly Ryan Shrout got a job at Intel, leaving PC Perspective behind to join Intel as their “Chief Performance Strategist“.
His position at Intel is a very simple one to explain, it falls on Ryan’s shoulders to cherry pick if not just outright lie about the performance capabilities of Intel’s consumer hardware.
These are what I like to call “Shroutistics”, because they defy reality and instead give Intel’s consumers a false hope through arbitrary and falsified performance figures.
From over elaborative performance comparisons such as comparing processor performance between Intel and their main competitor AMD by using two completely different graphics cards across both machines, in this case comparing a TDP starved RTX 2060 “Max Q” versus a standard mobility RTX 2060 found inside the Intel laptop.
Or how about throwing in another system configuration, this time with a top of the line Intel Core i9 mobility chip paired with an RTX 2080 Mobile just to send the point across, you can gain increased system performance with Intel so long as you limit the competition with power starved hardware.
Ryan Shrout made a shift from his shroutistic “real world” performance evaluations for Intel Core processors to joining Intel’s emerging ARC division, where he played a prominent role in conducting ARC Alchemist performance benchmarks and showcases. Alongside Tom Petersen, Ryan became one of the key figures representing Intel in this endeavor.
Shrout played an integral role in the launch of the Arc Alchemist series by actively participating in roundtable discussions alongside Tom Petersen and Raja Koduri. Working closely with them, he helped unveil crucial details that led to the eventual release of the series.
Similar to Intel’s previous efforts in removing problematic employees, such as Raja Koduri, the notorious party animal who has wasted millions of dollars of Intel’s money throwing obscene launch parties for products that didn’t actually launch alongside spectacles like worthless PR drone shows.
Ryan Shrout has recently revealed that he is no longer employed by Intel, starting today.
It is uncertain where Ryan Shrout will go next, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he chooses to align himself with NVIDIA, it’s only natural. NVIDIA has so much mindshare with gullible consumers and given Shrout’s ridiculous performance evaluations, his association with NVIDIA could potentially amplify their deceptive marketing tactics and performance figures.
Especially considering how every generation from NVIDIA since the introduction of RTX Turing has provided up to “2X” to “4X” performance leaps.
